How Flex billing works
Each month we measure the aggregate clean-traffic 95th percentile across your prefixes and tunnels, and bill it at $0.28 per Mbps. There is no monthly minimum and no commitment, so a quiet month costs proportionally less. Blocked attack traffic is never part of the measurement.
Bring your own IP space
Flex runs BGP over GRE with your own IP space and GRE return tunnels. Clean traffic bursts up to a 10 Gbps ceiling by default, provisionable up to 50 Gbps from Sterile's shared network capacity. Flex reserves no dedicated capacity — commit to a Business tier when you need capacity guaranteed.
When Flex fits
Flex suits networks whose clean traffic changes from month to month, with nothing to pay in a quiet period. If you consistently run 5 Gbps or more, a Business commitment costs less per Mbps.
